Answer questions about transactions
With the new QuickBooks Online integration, managing your bookkeeping becomes more straightforward for both you and your bookkeeper. Questions are displayed directly in your portal, so you can review and respond without switching between emails or other platforms.
Transaction questions, explained
When your bookkeeper integrates your firm’s QuickBooks with TaxDome, you can handle transaction-related questions seamlessly within a single interface.
If your bookkeeper needs clarification about a specific transaction, they can post a question directly in your portal. Each question is automatically linked to the corresponding transaction, ensuring a transparent, clear, and straightforward process.
You can reply from either the web or mobile app and upload any missing documents right alongside the answer.
How do I know I have a new question?
New questions appear in your To-do list under the Pending transaction questions section. You can also find them in the Transactions section.
If there are pending transactions, you’ll receive a notification every Monday at 9:00 AM. For urgent matters, your bookkeeper will send you an email.
Reply to a question about transaction
To respond to a question:

Either go to Transactions page or click the notification in your To-do list.

Type your answer in the reply field. You can also attach multiple files to your reply.

Click Send.
Attach files to your reply about transaction
You can attach multiple documents from your computer to your reply about the transaction. To do this:

Click Attach files.

Browse your computer for one or more files to upload, then select a folder or subfolder to store them.

Click Upload.

Click Continue.
When you return to the transactions page, the card with transaction will be transferred to the Answered tab. The green label will display the number of uploaded documents. You’ll be able to view the list and edit it if needed.
Edit message and attachments list
You can edit your message and the list of attached files after sending it, as long as your bookkeeper hasn’t asked a new question or closed the conversation. To do this:

In the Transactions section, go to the Answered tab.

Click Edit answer if you want to update the message, or Attached files if you want to change the list of files.

Modify the text, add or remove files.

Click Update & Send.
Transactions page
In the Transactions section, there are three subsections:

Waiting for answer: questions that require your response
-
Answered: questions you’ve already replied to, but your bookkeeper hasn’t marked as resolved yet

All: all questions
The green label shows exact number of transactions in subsection.
Questions about your transactions are displayed as cards, including:
a) Transaction details: Amount, Date, Vendor/Payee, Description, Type, and Account
b) The conversation history related to the transaction
c) The most recent question and a reply field
